The February 3rd show in Hampton, VA will take place at the Hampton Coliseum according to YOB's record label, Profound Lore, who recently posted an updated tour schedule on their Facebook. Neither Tool nor the venue have yet to confirm this, though, which is not surprising. Tickets for this show will go on sale January 7th along with Charlotte, Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando.

Ticketmaster has Intronaut listed as the support act for the Toronto show on January 25th so they will more then likely be supporting for most, if not all of the tour. Justin Chancellor appears on Intronaut's latest album, "Valley of Smoke."

The December Newsletter has been posted at toolband.com and includes some good news:
Besides a possible new record release, 2012 should be a good year for Tool enthusiasts for other reasons. Projects that have admittedly taken quite a while are now getting finished, and should soon be ready for you to scrutinize. With that said, I don’t think a live Tool DVD release is likely to be one of these. Yet, you never know. Sometimes things come out of the blue. Still, I wouldn’t hold my breath…

Tool winter tour rumors
Blair talks about the new album and the possibility of a winter tour in the November Newsletter:
Read the whole thing here.
Finally, to address all those Tool tour rumors. A few days ago, I met with the band's management in order to discuss this very thing. Although I wasn't sure if there was any validity to the rumors, I nevertheless told their manager that a small winter tour might not be such a bad thing. However, given my age, I didn't think that I'd be able to attend too many shows as a guest (at least, I wouldn't be able to attend them with the same vigor that I used to). I certainly didn't want to travel on the tour bus, as the bunks hurt my back. Also, my excessive snoring might keep some of the early riser band members awake at night (particularly Danny and Justin). And then there's the issue of the bad weather - both here and in Europe. Some dates in Australia would be okay, but with the recent discovery of an albino trapdoor spider in the land DownUnder, I'd have to rule that out, too. Perhaps some shows in the southern states might be best. Maybe even Texas? How about just a show or two right here in Los Angeles? That would certainly make things easier for me. I might even be able to party like I used to in the good old touring days. Better yet, still, what about an electromagnetic radiation transmitted (as theorized by Rudy Rucker, among others) - reconstituted/manifested Tool concert (including personality wave guests with all-access laminates) anywhere on the entire planet? Now, that would be great!.. Especially with those programmable display tee-shirts available at the Merch booth...

Maynard in Revolver Magazine
Maynard James Keenan Tips for Becoming a Wine Aficionado
When not stomping around onstage in Tool, A Perfect Circle, and Puscifer, Maynard James Keenan has been known to stomp a few grapes in his Arizona-based Merkin Vineyards. A good chunk of Puscifer’s upcoming second album, Conditions of My Parole, was even recorded in the viticulturist’s wine cellar. So Revolver asked the singer–who is interviewed in the new issue of magazine, available on newsstands everywhere and online right here–for a few tips on how to best appreciate our sips.
Watch your sugar intake
“One of the first things that’s going to interfere with anyone trying to appreciate wine is sugar. If you’re really serious about learning about wine, the best way to learn about it is get a couple bottles of the same thing. If you’re a person who drinks a lot of Coca-Cola, or eats candy, or eats a lot of ketchup and mustard, go ahead and have your wine with those foods. Then don’t eat or drink any of that stuff for a week. Just stick to stuff that’s not seasoned. No sugar. Don’t eat sweet stuff for a week. Then have your wine and try to recall your experience before when your palate was completely polluted with the sugar.”
Beware of the heat
“Think of wine like you would ice cream. If you’re picking up wine from somewhere and you put it in the trunk of your car and watch a movie and expect the wine to be OK when you get back… it’s just not going to be. It’s a vulnerable product. The heat will ruin it. That’s why we don’t ship during the summer. Once it’s left your hands, there’s no way to control how the postal service is gonna get it to you. They’ll just leave it in a truck in the sun in Phoenix overnight. Your wine’s toast.”
Know your allergies
“If you think you’re allergic to sulfites in wine, but you drink fresh orange juice—then you’re not allergic to sulfites. You’re probably more allergic to histamines or wines that have more wood in them then they should. Really oaky, woody wines. People think they’re reacting to the wine, when they’re really reacting to the wood tannins. Choose a wine that’s not been aged in oak.”

The band released an EP in 2005 which can be streamed and purchased at their website FeersumEnnjin.net.
Los Angeles, Aug. 10, 2011 -- Paul D'Amour, founding member of Tool and Lusk, returns to the world of heavy music with Feersum Ennjin's self titled debut on Nov.1, marking D'Amour's first rock release since 1995's Aenima.
Following his work with Tool, D'Amour created the psychedelic outfit Lusk with Brad Laner (Medicine), Greg Edwards (Autolux, Failure) and Chris Pitman (Gun N'Roses). Lusk released one critically-acclaimed and Grammy-nominated release, Free Mars, in 1997 but their label imploded shortly thereafter and the group subsequently disbanded. D'Amour moved on to film composition, where he has spent the next dozen years quietly working on music for film and television.
"Feersum Ennjin really started as a series of studio experiments but gradually took on a life of its own." Explains D'Amour on the reasons why he decided the time was right to create a new band after all of these years. "All of the different musical experiences of my past took form as I found a melodic thread to tie them all together as one sound. I'm looking forward to taking the next step, to make Feersum Ennjin a living, breathing entity that exists beyond the studio."
Feersum Ennjin was recorded at various Los Angeles studios with D'Amour acting as producer. The band will announce tour dates shortly.
The band released an EP in 2005 which can be streamed and purchased at their website FeersumEnnjin.net.

Maynard Talks Briefly About New Tool Album
From Blabbermouth:
As for the status of the next TOOL album — which Keenan gets asked about in every interview — the singer gave The Pulse Of Radio an update and warned fans not to believe everything they read. "We're just always writing and it's just progressing as it progresses," he said. "We normally don't say anything about anything until it's actually happening, because there's a lot of people online that apparently can't read very well. I put an April Fool's notice up there for the album release, and it was this year, 2011, I said, 'New TOOL album, such-and-such a date, 2009, and everybody ran around like, 'Oh, really, the new TOOL --?' God, you guys are dumb. I swear to God. You've got to read. Please, read."

Queens of Country Info
Pitchfork posted an article about the upcoming movie starring Lizzy Caplan, Ron Livingston, and Maynard James Keenan.
Last year, Modest Mouse frontman Isaac Brock re-ignited his side project Ugly Casanova to contribute songs to the documentary 180° South. A year later, he's on his making-music-for-movies grind again. Brock will compose the score for the upcoming feature film Queens of Country, written and directed by Ryan Page and Christopher Pomerenke (Blood Into Wine, The Heart Is a Drum Machine) and starring Lizzy Caplan (of the late, beloved TV series "Party Down"), Ron Livingston (Office Space), and (wait for it) Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan.
According to a press release, the plot of Queens of Country revolves around "Caplan's character Jolene and a lost iPod, which the obsessed country music fan is convinced belongs to her soul mate. Jolene quickly finds herself in a hilarious adventure of mistaken identities, line dancing competitions, time machines and doppelgangers." So yeah, your typical lost-iPod-time-machine-country-music-rom-com flick, sounds like. And they say the film industry's run out of ideas!
The movie, as well as Brock's score, is slated for a 2012 release. Watch a video of Ugly Casanova performing the 180° South contribution "Here's to Now" below while you continue to wonder whether Modest Mouse will ever make another album.

First Single, "Man Overboard" Available on July 19th
The Puscifer newsletter was sent out today and includes more details on the new album, "Conditions of My Parole."
PUSCIFER'S NEW ALBUM, CONDITIONS OF MY PAROLE, AVAILABLE OCT. 18
"The Verde Valley is an intrinsic part of what Puscifer is. It’s equal parts Twilight Zone, Mayberry and Road Warrior. The ghosts and aliens, Republicans and Democrats, cowboys and artists living side by side with hostile creatures such as scorpions, spiders, rattlesnakes, javelina and hippies are just a few of the spicy ingredients that give Conditions of My Parole its unique flavor." - Maynard James Keenan
"Man Overboard," the first single from the album, will be available via iTunes and other digital service providers on July 19.
Conditions of My Parole was recorded in Jerome, Ariz. this spring with tracking done amidst the wine barrels from Keenan's Caduceus Cellars. The album was produced by Keenan, Mat Mitchell, and Josh Eustis. Contributing musicians for the new album include the aforementioned Keenan, Mitchell, and Eustis as well as Carina Round, Juliette Commagere, Matt McJunkins, Jeff Freidl, Gil and Rani Sharone, Jonny Polonsky, Tim Alexander, Devo Keenan, Alessandro Cortini, Sarah Jones, and Jon Theodore.
A North American tour kicks off in early November with more information to come.
