I met the girls at the Fox Theater show in Detroit last night. They were all really sweet and exited to be touring with A Perfect Circle. I asked if they were having fun and if the tour was going well. They said it's been great and all the guys from APC have been amazingly supportive and kind. Really nice to see the bigger guys doing their best to cultivate upcoming talent.
As far as their music, their album LIMITED offered an array of energetic and thrashy songs to get everyone ready for the main event. They have a fast-paced transition-rich thrash punk style with a semi-KITTY vocal feel, topped with a Japan-POP twist. They have a tonal simplicity to make hits with the beefy metal riffing to make it unique and interesting for the crowd.
After the show, as the crowd piled out of the theater past T-shirts and beer vendors, the girls faithfully held up a signs for the band with a table ready to greet new fans and sign merchandise. The band was doing their best to promote and get people interested, offering reasonably priced CD's and T-shirts with free pictures and signatures included. Their kind greetings and willingness to speak with everyone was a great reminder of where everyone starts.
I hope the tour goes well for them and they continue to do what they obviously love. RED BACTERIA VACUUM GO!!!
Thanks for the comment BigC! I was at the Detroit show last night as well. Red Bacteria Vacuum put on a hell of a show. I was really surprised. They are so full of energy. I love the types of bands MJK brings on tour with him whether it be with APC, Tool or Puscifer. It's nice listening to bands you've never heard of. There's so much good music out there yet to be discovered. I hope this tour gives Red Bacteria Vacuum the exposure they need to become very successful.
